Year after year, CIFF has become a Cambodian can’t-miss event for filmmakers and cinema lovers. In 2017, it expands and diversifies its program and consolidates its established reputation. It is a great honor to announce that Mrs Angelina Jolie will pursue her support for Cambodian artists by taking on the honorary position of Patron of the Cambodia International Film Festival.

This year’s Festival will feature more than 160 screenings and events from over 40 countries. Asian creativity widely features; including world and international Premieres and an increased number of quality Cambodian films. This year also a special tribute celebrating world acclaimed Czech master Milos Forman’s early work, a special Panorama of Lao Cinema and insight into love in French Cinema.

Documentary programs highlights includes the Beautiful Planet selection on environmental issues and a special focus on the Rwanda Genocide. A broad selection of shorts from Souhteast Asia, feature and animated films from around the world will glow in the eyes this year again.

The Bophana Center’s 10th anniversary is celebrated. CIFF’ special events includes parties, live performances, workshops, exhibition and training program, networking events for Southeast Asian filmmakers and producers and magical open air events on Koh Pich.

With the CIFF, Phnom Penh will be for a whole week day and night, the best welcoming cinema rendez-vous.
